I survived Lyme disease. You can survive it too!

I was diagnosed with Lyme disease in June of 2017. For two-and-a-half years I battled Lyme along with the co-infections Bartonella and Babesia. I chose to treat with a combination of antibiotics and natural herbal remedies. In early 2020, I reached remission and in early 2025 I celebrated five years of remission. The aim of United by Lyme is to be a safe haven, a resource, to help you through what may honestly be some of your darkest days.

Lyme disease is a lonely disease. My goal in starting United by Lyme is to help you feel less alone. United by Lyme exists to share personal experiences, encourage and lift up those in the midst of their Lyme disease battle. It is here to shine a light into the darkness that shrouds Lyme disease.

Remission is possible. Don't lose hope

I have included an extensive list of resources here for you. Mostly, they are things that I found beneficial during my long battle. Some of them are things I’ve discovered since, that I wish I had known about then. I hope they are helpful for you.

Remember, you are not alone. Also, know that with the right treatment plan I believe you will reach remission as well.

When you begin treatment know that it is common, normal even, to get worse before you get better. Keep going. It will be worth it.
